Abstracts

Participants wishing to present posters (only one presentation per registered participant) are invited to submit a one page abstract according to the instructions below.
Abstracts in MSWord format should be sent via e-mail as attachment to: tramech4@dq.ua.pt. 
Authors should indicate in the accompanying e-mail to which of the topics A-G their papers should be assigned.
Abstracts received by fax will not be accepted.
Notification of acceptance will be e-mailed to the presenting author by May 8^th, 2006.
Upon author request (in the registration form), some posters will be selected by the Scientific Committee for oral presentation.

Instructions for Authors

 The abstract must be on a single page, ready for direct reproduction on A4 format (297 x 210 mm). Leave margins of 30 mm on the left and 25 mm on the right side, 40 mm at the top, and 20 mm at the bottom.
 - Font: Times New Roman
- Title and text: single-spaced
- Title: centered, 14 point, bold, Capital Letters
- Author(s): centered, 12 point, presenting author underlined
- Affiliation and full address: centered, 12 point, italic. In the case of authors with different affiliations, specify with superscript a, b, etc.
- Main text: left and right justified, 12 point, justified
- Figures: good quality, located within the text (please bear in mind that page size will be reduced to 70%).
- References: placed in square brackets [1, 2…] in the text and cited at the bottom of the abstract.

Abstracts received after May 1^st, 2006, not prepared according to the instructions or whose presenting author has not returned the payment form, will not be included in the Book of Abstracts.

Instructions for poster presentation

Posters should be 1.20 m high and 0.90 m wide. Abstracts scheduled for presentation in poster sessions will be grouped by topic, numbered and listed in the final program. Poster boards will be numbered according to the program.
One-hour sessions will be arranged for poster presentation.
Authors are requested to be in front of their poster during the official session time.
